Meet the Baker

Hi, I’m Ivy, the baker behind Daydream Bakes.

Baking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching my mom in the kitchen, creating everything from scratch with ease, intuition, and love. She taught me the small details that make all the difference, like adding extra vanilla, trusting your instincts, and never being afraid to experiment with flavor.

I always dreamed of baking being my future. I even planned to go to pastry school and build a life around it, whether that was a bakery or a donut shop of my own. It was never just a hobby to me, but at the time I didn’t feel like I had the space or stability to fully pursue it.

Even so, that love never left. Dessert was always my favorite part of any day. It didn’t matter if it was a celebration, a hard moment, or just a normal dinner out, I always had room for something sweet. Dessert wasn’t just food, it was comfort, joy, and a reward at the end of everything.

As I got older, I became obsessed with cooking shows and pastry competitions, inspired by chefs who turned simple ingredients into something unforgettable. I eventually built my career in environmental protection, while baking quietly whenever I could.

Everything changed when I challenged myself with sourdough bread. What started as curiosity turned into consistency, and then a realization: I didn’t just love baking, I could truly do it every day.

From there, I began baking more consistently, testing recipes, sharing with friends and family, and refining every detail until people started asking for more.

That’s when Daydream Bakes began.

Daydream Bakes is a dream I’ve carried for years, shaped by family, discipline, and faith, and now finally coming to life. It reflects where I come from, the work ethic I was raised with, and the faith that has carried me through every season.

If you’re here, I hope you can taste that in every bite.

Because this is just the beginning.

I’m currently building Daydream Bakes with the goal of launching a small-batch microbakery in Fall 2026.
